Tell us about yourself?

My background is in marketing, Startup – SaaS B2B companies and insurance. I’ve spent the last 8 years as a product owner for insurances, as a board member an insurance company and building marketing functions from scratch at B2B tech startups. Now I’m combining both worlds here at Insurely as the Head of Marketing.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

We want to create real change for the consumers, making the insurance industry more transparent and understandable. With our platform and products, we are creating win-win insurance experiences with open data. We offer consumers an understanding of insurance to make better choices. We help our partners in their understanding of their customers to increase conversion and satisfaction.

What is your magic sauce?

As of right now we don’t have any competition in Europe but if we did, it would be our strong team driving the company forward(we have fantastic talent from both the insurance industry, legal, tech and SaaS), our advantage with data collection and the high level of security we have for the data we handle. Our products give insurance companies and banks access to more data, more insights, more knowledge, and more sales.

Where do you see your company going in 5 years time?

The most obvious and leading open insurance provider internationally. We will lead the global transformation within open insurance.

What has been your biggest setback so far?

Doing something that has never been done before, being ahead of our time with innovation in a stale industry. It takes time and can be perceived as scary.

What is the next big challenge for your business?

To enter new markets with less digital maturity.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

The industry know’s it’s a matter of when not if, open insurance will be obvious and regulated from EIOPA. Players connecting to our open insurance platform early will be the winners at the end and if they drive the change together with us now – they will win consumers hearts and minds with better offering and loyalty. For us to really realize our vision of an industry that’s better for the consumer, we want big and global insurance companies and banks to be connected to us. Our products give them access to more data, more insights, more knowledge, and more sales.
