Tell us about yourself?

I am a graduate Technologist and Ichthyologist (BSc), holding a Master of Science diploma (MSc) in Aquaculture from the University of Thessaly School of health science faculty of veterinary currently. I am a PhD candidate at the University of Ioannina in the Department of Agriculture studying meagre Argyrosomus regius (Asso, 1801) in Greece.

I have been working since 2004 in various sectors in aquaculture, holding productive positions in Greece. My experience, except aquaculture, includes academic experience as a laboratory assistant at the Technological Institute of Epirus.

I am a registered instructor at EFET (Hellenic Food Authority) and OAED (Manpower Agency of Greece). Finally, I love scuba diving (OWD certified), football (UEFA C certified) and photography.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Invest in crypto and do not be afraid to make life-changing decisions.

What problem does your business solve?

Αny problem an aquaculture producer or a company that is involved in the aquaculture industry may be concerned about. We can provide from A to Z, a solution from the first stages of finfish production to the final packaging of the product.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Our inspiration is the continuous evolution of farming techniques and management aims to improve our customer’s cost-effectiveness and production KPIs.

What is your magic sauce?

The Company consists of people with experience, knowledge and love for what they do. The experience, over 25 years in the field, the great knowledge of the two founders, 2 BScs, 3 MSc, a PhD that is coming and the chemistry that derives from the partnership, me and Nikos Tzourmanas are the ingredients of the magic sauce that FishCare™ carries.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Our Vision is to become the most reliable partner for every Mediterranean Aquaculture producer and for any company that needs a strong and reliable business partner.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Something had to change and fortunately, sometimes some people unwittingly point out that there is another better way to achieve your goals. The most important problem that Nikos and I faced was that we had to start planning and expanding the company during the pandemic. This was the most important problem, communicating with friends and colleagues but when you fight for something enough, in the end, you find the solution.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We appeal to every entrepreneur who owns a fish production unit, a company that sells equipment and aquaculture products, but also to any company from anywhere in the world that wants to invest in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world.
