HolaBrief is an online platform that helps creative agencies, marketing teams, and freelancers to optimize their processes with customizable frameworks and templates.

As a company, we believe that the brief is the springboard for better collaboration between brands and creative teams. A good briefing process leads to effective creative work, less feedback loops, streamlined teams, and on average, 30% of marketing budgets can be saved.

We are dead serious about how much we believe in the brief.

Tell us about yourself?

I was a creative in advertising agencies of all shapes and sizes. In every single one of them, the problem was always the same.

Creatives were left in the dark. We were the last ones to be informed about the strategy, who we were designing for, and what the client really wanted.

This usually results in the creative department working overtime, often in the wrong direction, and eventually leads to burnout.

While it’s fun (and common practise) among creatives to whinge about clients and how ¨bad¨ clients are, there is little done to try the resolve this complex issue.

Together with my co-founder, we decided to take on this complex task and help creative agencies to collaborate better with their brands instead of planning how to murder them over the weekend…

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

Work lean, lean, lean! Don’t be afraid to change if it’s not working!

What problem does your business solve?

HolaBrief solves the communication problem between brands and agencies by finding the gaps in knowledge and creating the framework to build a detailed picture of the business problem the brand wants to solve with marketing.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The number one driver for our business was the number of failed collaborations due to bad briefs. We want to solve this problem for agencies and marketing teams alike.

What is your magic sauce?

Our magic sauce is not a mystery. We specialise in the briefing because it’s the cornerstone to a successful collaboration. We are a niche product that focuses on resolving a HUGE issue. If you know (in detail) the problem you need to solve, you will spend less time solving it.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

Our goal is to be the go-to-briefing tool creatives and marketers. We want to solve the communication problem that is plaguing our industry and killing our creative spirits.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

Like any SaaS, we’ve had to pivot as we gained more knowledge from our users. However, the essence of the product has remained the same in the last 4 years.
