Okr Software and Coaching To Ensure a Results-driven Company Culture

Weekdone (https://weekdone.com/) is one of the most successful Estonian B2B technology startups. We’re changing how people and teams set their goals and companies manage their talent. Our weekly and quarterly goal-setting and planning tool is used by hundreds of companies on all continents, from Fortune 500 teams like Whole Foods down to SME’s and public sector institutions.

Tell us about yourself?

I actually stated with Weekdone 7 years ago when I started my Masters degree. I needed a job to pay for school and have applied to Weekdone. I have since grown and developed my career with Weekdone. I think the great thing is that the methodologies and best practices behind the software are easily applicable in all aspects of work. I have grown as a leader and really developed my organizational and goal-setting skills.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

Our main goal is to improve productivity, communication, and alignment in all teams and companies. Many of customers come to us when their team is growing, old tools like spreadsheets just aren’t cutting it, or they want to take their alignment to the next level. We are primarily targeted at small to medium sized companies. But we work well for any team or company of any type. We have customers from large enterprises to small teams in youth groups and churches.

What is your magic sauce?

We combine long-term strategy with weekly planning using the best practice methodologies. We really stand out by tying together the daily work of employees with the higher level team and company visions. Not to mention we also have a simple, intuitive design and powerful dashboards to help you make better decisions quickly.

Where do you see your company going in 5 years time?

We are currently developing our secondary product: Team Compass (https://weekdone.com/team-management-software). Team Compass specifically focuses on teams and team leaders and the issues they face. The product is still developing, but we plan to be the biggest player in the team management and remote work coordination market. We believe we truly impact the way teams work through asynchronous communication, goal communication, and meeting facilitation.

What has been your biggest setback so far?

For Team Compass it has been our lack of resources at the start. Creating a new parallel product takes a substantial amount of work and time. We are now building a team to focus just on Team Compass, but at the start it was a lot of balancing. Now we are moving faster and picking up speed.

What is the next big challenge for your business?

Our biggest challenge is now building a unified brand around Weekdone, but still making Team Compass shine on its own. We have put tons into building our brand as an OKR leader, but now we need to be more than that and show we are players in the team management world as well.
