Tell us about yourself?

The original tool, Podstavec Tools, was built as a simple set of APIs communicating between Google Keyword Planner and Podstavec Tools for gathering marketing data about keywords (search volume and CPC).

In the beginning, this tool was provided free of charge to friends and colleagues in the SEO agency. The Podstavec Tools has gradually spread to the consciousness of consultants worldwide.

With the big load on the servers on which the APIs were running, we developed the first version of Marketing Miner in 2015.

Later with the increased number of users, the first release of the Marketing Miner tool was updated to a paid version and subsequently was created the version 2.0 (the current release) that is nowadays running in the cloud.

If you could go back in time a year or two, what piece of advice would you give yourself?

I wouldn’t delay expanding to foreign markets, but I would jump right into it, even if the product wasn’t 100% fine-tuned, because there was less competition back then.

What problem does your business solve?

Marketing Miner helps SEO consultants and marketers with collecting important marketing data about keywords, domains and URLs that helps them make data-driven decisions. Key features are: Keyword research, SEO audit and competitor analysis.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

The inspiration was the MOZ tool, we saw a lot of functions that we could do better than them and thus develop features to collect data in bulk, which would save people time.

What is your magic sauce?

We have bulk data analysis feature where you can analyze up to 100,000 keywords, domains or URLs at once.

What is the plan for the next 5 years? What do you want to achieve?

We would like to be more successful in the US/UK market, which are currently our priority. If there is an interesting startup from our industry, we would like to consider its acquisition.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced so far?

We have been struggling with HR for a long time. It is very difficult to get quality people as developers.

How do people get involved/buy into your vision?

We would like to establish cooperation with SEO specialists and affiliate marketers who would like to promote our tool.
