ZentoShop is an eCommerce Software-as-a-Service solution aimed at medium enterprises and built with a state-of-the-art PWA frontend and Magento 2 backend, cloud hosted on AWS for maximum reliability and scalability.

ZentoShop allows merchants to have a next-gen shop with a monthly subscription.
Our mission is to free merchants from expensive and time-consuming investments into bespoke solutions, without compromising on UX, functionality and flexibility like they have to do with other SaaS solutions.

Tell us about yourself?

With a technical background, I founded my first company in 2005, a development agency, and later started working on building our own new products. After launching ZentoShop as a company in 2016, it became the main focus and therefore the agency was sold in 2017-2018.

What is the inspiration behind your business?

I founded and ran a development agency since 2005, where as a Solutions Integrator delivered hundreds of medium to large eCommerce projects, mainly on Magento.

While working with merchants noticed how large and unpredictable their technology expense was, while the technological excellence was also limited by their budgets.

Existing SaaS eCommerce solutions were aimed mostly at smaller merchants and were very constraining in terms of functionality, so at ZentoShop our goal was to build a solution for the medium sized merchant and give them technical excellence with a predictable budget.

What is your magic sauce?

Compared to other SaaS solutions, ZentoShop is more bespoke and allows medium sized merchants for more customisation based on their business needs.

Compared to bespoke solutions merchants are developing currently, our solution is more advanced technologically, more affordable and more predictable.

Where do you see your company going in 5 years time?

We are now focused on expanding to other European markets and in 5 years we plan to be in over 10 markets and be on the shortlist of the considered solution for medium sized merchants in those markets.

What has been your biggest setback so far?

The complexity of the technology resulted in a capital intensive investment and sometimes unpredictable timelines.

What is the next big challenge for your business?

International expansion is definitely our next big challenge.
